[January 30, 2023 \u2013 Los Angeles, CA, US]<\/strong> \u2013 1-StopAsia is happy to share that at this year\u2019s GALA Annual Conference<\/a>, we are joining forces with other industry experts to provide a panel discussion on the evergreen topic of Vendor Management. Under the spotlight sharing their experience will be Margarita Garc\u00eda from Global Lingo and Toby Partington from Empower Translate.<\/p>\n

The panel will take place on March 13, 2023, (4:00 – 5:00 PM) and will have an interesting twist for the audience as our panelists will speak on \u201cVendor Management from a Vendor\u2019s Perspective\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meet Marga<\/strong>: a passionate Vendor Manager truly committed to finding the right balance of professionalism and personal touch with more than 20 years of experience in the sphere.<\/p>\n

Meet Toby<\/strong>: \u0430 second generation in the business and wearer of many hats, Toby has faced the challenges of vendor management in a very different sphere, market research localization.<\/p>\n

The panel will be moderated by Gergana Toleva. Asked how she feels about the opportunity to be the host, Gergana says it\u2019s \u201ca truly interesting opportunity to explore the various directions and nuances of Vendor Management, especially when blended with the difference of both participants and the experience they can share.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"MargaritaBorn in the Andalusian Spanish city of Granada, Margarita Garc\u00eda graduated from the well-known University of Granada where she studied Translation and Interpreting. Marga has extensive experience in the localization and translation industry across different roles, from translator, reviewer, and post-editor to vendor manager.
\nMarga has worked in the vendor management realm for Capita TI, Deluxe Media, and Global Lingo, where she is the Resourcing and Quality Assurance Manager.
\nShe is passionate about how technology can drive innovation and help implement solutions to streamline processes for the benefit of what really matters: PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

\"Toby\"Living currently in Wales, after a 13 year stint in France, Toby has been part of Empower Translate as a second-generation family business owner. Throughout the years he\u2019s been covering various roles in the company including Talent Hub Manager a few years back and currently, he is Head of Operations.<\/p>\n

His hands-on experience in the business, alongside his passion for technology and people gives him an excellent understanding of the pain points and mechanisms one should navigate towards a successful VM model for a company with an unconventional and innovative localization service, where oftentimes one should invent their own model.<\/p>\n

About GALA 2023<\/h2>\n

GALA\u2019s Annual Conference will be held in Dublin, Ireland and will be one of the premier events for language industry professionals this year. Between 12-15 March 2023, the conference will feature a variety of presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities under the slogan \u201cRethink, Regroup, Renew\u201d.<\/p>\n
